Lesson 2 in JST’s Season 3 videos, the idea of using various different setts in a single piece of cloth is the idea … and I loved the design of one of the samples. So, with two small cones of fine threads (red 30/3 silk&wool 50/50, dark brown lace weight alplaca) I worked out a base sett of 24 epi for plain weave and then crammed some borders to 48 epi, and “dented” the small, centre areas to 12 epi and four larger areas to 18 epi. Thrown in for fun, some colour & weave which really worked well. I treadled “tromp as writ” …
